Accomplishments

 

Representative Kristina Daley Roegner has been hard at work for the people of Ohio. Several key pieces of legislation that she has sponsored include:

 

House Bill 2: Representative  Roegner reached across the aisle to crack down on corrupt charter school practices. These reforms have already led to closing of almost a dozen poor performing charter schools. Representative Roegner and Representative Dovilla were the Primary Sponsors of HB 2, was passed into law.

HB94: The Common Sense Initiative, is a key piece of regulatory reform aimed at making Ohio business friendly by puting a focus on customer service and eliminating or changing regulations which once “adverse business impact” is considered, do not make common sense.

HB78: The Pro-Life Viability Bill is an integral piece of pro-life legislation which prohibits an abortion after 20 weeks once the baby is viable.

House Bill 114: Representative Roegner and Representative Bishoff were the Primary Sponsors of H.B. 114. This bill allows schools to use door barricade devices in active shooter situations in coordination with local fire and police chiefs. This bill has been enacted in the State Budget.

House Bill 227 removes regulatory barriers for Ohioans to start a career in cosmetology. Representative Roegner, along with Representative Alicia Reese, was the Primary Sponsor of HB227. The Senate version of this bill was passed into law.

House Bill 455 allows a municipality to create a boarding school zone. This bill, which had Representative Roegner and Representative Patterson as the Primary Sponsors, was passed by the House.
